Mitchel Sellers

Mitchel Sellers is a CFII & Cirrus CSIP with 1,200+ hours of flight time in a variety of aircraft including the Cirrus SR-22 and SR-20, Mooney, Piper Archer/Warrior, Cessna 172/182, and more. With landings in 35 states and over six years of experience working with a wide range of avionics from the classic 6-pack to the Garmin G1000 NXi product line and everything in-between, Mitchel is proud to share his passion for aviation and eager to help aspiring and experienced pilots through all stages of flight training.

IPC/IFR Refresher

Did you let your 6-month currency lapse for your Instrument rating? Feel a bit rusty with your IFR skills? We can help. Combining practical, scenario-based instruction with actual destination experience, our real world approach to flight training is carefully designed to help you better understand your aircraft, navigate complex airspaces, and confidently interface with aircraft control to ensure you are 100% instrument ready and back in the air in no time.

Biannual Flight Review

Yes, the BFR is an FAA requirement, but at MS Flight Training we believe it’s more than just another box to check off. Which is why we work with students to not only meet the federal requirement but also encourage them to brush-up on skills, maneuvers, and procedures they may not normally use in day-to-day flying to ensure they get the most out of their training.

MS Flight Training is based in the Des Moines Iowa (KDSM) area and will work with students in all of central Iowa.

All training is done in your aircraft or using rental aircraft whereby Mitchel Sellers has been granted instructor privileges.

Currently, Mitchel provides instructions to members of the Des Moines Flying Club, and is also able to instruct individuals flying with Exec1 Aviation rental aircraft out of Ankeny (KIKV).
